						Shell is broad, thick and smooth with a round conical shape.  The shell is brown to orange-brown with an orange foot (Ref. 312).					
				
				
						
			
			
			
			
				
					It has a shell length 3.5 cm (Ref. 312). Habitat:  Occurs in the middle low intertidal and shallow subtidal zones on rocky shores; also upper blades and stipes of off-shore kelp.
