Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: USA.
Diagnosis:  Shell is broad, thick and smooth with a round conical shape. The shell is brown to orange-brown with an orange foot (Ref. 312).
Biology:  It has a shell length 3.5 cm (Ref. 312). Habitat: Occurs in the middle low intertidal and shallow subtidal zones on rocky shores; also upper blades and stipes of off-shore kelp. Diet: multiple species of algae, both micro and macroscopic. Predator: sea stars and sea otters (Ref. 312).
