Total Length: 33 to 36 cm; Wingspan: 81 to 84 cm (Ref. 8812). Found on bay and nearshore, beach and shoreline (Ref. 116102). Scavenging; dipping; coastal; <30 km. Breeds the prairies of North America and migrates to the Pacific Ocean coast of South America, reaching Chile and Argentina (Ref. 356).
