Indo-West Pacific: Lutrogale perspicillata maxwelli: Tigris-Euphrates valley in Iraq; Lutrogale perspicillata sindica: Indus valley of Pakistan; Lutrogale perspicillata perspicillata: India, Yunnan, Indochina and the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Bangka, northeast Borneo, western Java (Ref. 1522).
