An amphibious mollusk occurring in the littoral zone, above the high tide mark (spray zone), usually associated with oyster beds. Found in upper intertidal zone under rocks (Ref. 75835).

Members of the order Mesogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults.
