					Male/Unsexed size from Ref. 865.  Maximum depth range from Ref. 121884. Most common on protected outer coast (Ref. 121884) but also found offshore (Refs. 67209, 121894).  It is found on rocky and soft bottoms from the very low intertidal to a depth of 30 meters (Ref. 865).  Also occurs in lower tide pools and subtidally to 90 m (Ref. 121884).  Often buried in sand (Refs. 116614, 121884) and found under rocks (Ref. 116614).  Also found in bays and estuaries (Ref. 121888).  Scavenger and predator (Ref. 116614).
