Maximum depth from Ref. 106816. Found on steep rocky bottoms (Refs. 106816, 114314). Prefers water temperatures of 13°C to 14°C (Ref. 114314). In general, palinurids are mainly considered carnivores, usually feeding upon sluggish, easily captured animals where most material is eaten alive or freshly killed (Ref. 105260).
