Pale orange-brown to brown when alive and pale beige in ethanol. Small, club-shaped with short cylindrical stalk, enlarged basal holdfast and several very thin, leaf-like, flattened branches with even margins.
Found in outer reef slopes (Ref. 124029).

Members of the class Demospongiae are hermaphroditic. Life cycle: The zygote develops into parenchymella larva (free-swimming) before settling down on a substrate where it grows into a young sponge.
