Dark brown exterior and cream interior. Morphology: encrusting, lobate, massive, tube. Consistency: crumbly and soft.
Commensal with amphipods (Ref. 82302). Known from depths between 20 to 40 m (Ref. 081714).

Viviparous. Embryo: yellowish to cream; spherical; unusually large and conspicuous. Larvae: ovoid, with thicker anterior pole; covered with flagella up to 6 mm long.
