Remarks Type locality, on sulphide rocks colonized by the hydroid Candelabrum serpentarii and numerous hexacorallia in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, area adjacent to the hydrothermal vent area Snake Pit, 3505 m, MNHN-As-547 (holotype of Thymopides laurentae, 4.48 CL, female) (Ref. 87543).
