Able to feed from suspension either unicellular algae or small nauplii such as Artemia sp. Generally, feeding occurs at night and is confined to the upper 100 m (Ref. 104683). Shows an omnivorous feeding habit, with trophic level (=2.5) based on δ15N values (Ref. 118314).
