Short description Morphology

Bell is yellow-brown with white or pale spots and streaks. Arms are also brownish with extended frilly tentacles. Usually lies upward on the bottom and often mistaken as sea anemones.

Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

Host of Hyperia galba (Ref. 3089). Typically found in shallow lagoons, intertidal sand or mud flats, and around mangroves (Ref. 3248). Also among seagrass beds (Ref. 102838).
