Diagnosis Often measures less than 40 mm and at most 56 mm in diameter; large manubrium with 4 very long frilly lips and no gastric peduncle; 4 radial canals, each with curtain-like gonads extending onto "arms" of the manubrium; several prominent centripetal canals extending upward in each quadrant of the ring canal; 600 tentacles; numerous statocysts around the bell margin, each with an indistinct ocellus; milky white umbrella and pink blush around the bell margin (Ref. 2376).
