A crustacean taxonomist, more specifically on deep sea brachyurans who has led, over the last 30 years, with a great number of oceanographic cruises, mainly in the Western Pacific mostly with the MUSORSTOM, a joint program of the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris and ORSTOM (former name of IRD). He is also involved with projects on the distribution of biodiversity in the Indo-Pacific and phylogeography of crabs. | |
