Distribution:  Northwest Pacific, Northern Atlantic and the Mediterranean: from China to Scotland and southeast to Algeria.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Hyperbenthic (Ref. 58613). Free-living (Ref. 124165). Builds its tubes in and on whelk shells occupied by the hermit crab Pagurus bernhardus (Ref. 124164). Main food based on another species of the same genus; to be replaced with a better reference (Ref. 96292).
