Distribution:  Arctic, Northern Pacific and Northern Atlantic. Polar to temperate.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth range from Ref. 119523. Attached to hard substrata; from lower shore down to at least 600 m (Ref. 1603). A filter-feeder organism, trophic level 2 (Ref. 96418).
