Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean.
Diagnosis:  Culmen: 5.43 cm; tarsus: 5.34 cm; wing: 35.1 cm.
Biology:  Total Length: 46 to 53 cm; Wingspan: 111 cm (Ref. 8812). Mediterranean populations overwinter mainly in the Southern Atlantic Ocean. Known oversea and at the shore (Ref. 83946). Surface seizing; shallow plunging; steep surface salinity and temperature gradient (Ref. 81748).
