Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 40 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: From Sumatra, east to Tuvalu, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Usually small colonies. Corallites: sometimes compact, but often sprawl irregularly; distinctly curved at colony periphery, 8 mm across in average. Pale brown (Ref. 848).
Biology:  Occurs in flat substrates, often with Caulastrea furcata (Ref. 848). Also in slopes, lagoons and inter-reef soft substrates (Ref. 98471).
