Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from Indian Ocean to Japan and Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum mantle length: 8.0 cm. Maximum total length is 30 cm (Ref. 3722). Exhibits strong cryptic behavior and hides in holes in flat bottoms (Ref. 275).
