Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 25 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan and Hong Kong.
Diagnosis:  Tissue outside epithecal wall light orange or pink. Corallite bright red. Tentacles are yellow and translucent. Colonies are phaceloid, and each of the long corallite has its own wall. Corallites are formed by extratentacular budding consisting of 3 to 14 corallites.
Biology:  Depth range based on occurrence (Ref. 128386); to be replaced with a better reference. In exposed sites with moderate current. Rocky substrate, at around 10-25 meters water depth (Ref. 128386).
