Family:  Nephropidae (clawed crabs), subfamily: Nephropinae
Max. size:  11 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 525 - 1220 m
Distribution:  Antarctic Indian Ocean: Kerguelen Islands and Heard Island.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It has lengths of 3 to 11 cm, total body length, but mostly between 6 and 11 cm (Ref. 4). Occurs at depths from 560 to 1220 m on muddy substrate (Ref. 4).
