Environment:  benthic; brackish; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from East Africa, to eastern Polynesia; north to southern Japan and south to central Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found also in various environments such as open marine coasts or sheltered bays (Ref. 348).
