Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 10 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific and Southwest Atlantic: from Sechura Bay to Strait of Magellan, to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, including Easter and Falkland Islands. Tropical and subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is found on rocky substrates, on or beneath rocks, in crevices, tide pools and on brown algae from the intertidal area to a depth of 10 meters. It feeds on algae (Ref. 87801).
