Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits shallow waters (Ref. 3113). Burrows in a variety of intertidal and shallow subtidal substrates, such as marsh banks (peat, mud or clay), sponges, wood, friable rocks (sandstone, mudstone and claystone), concrete and styrofoam floats (Ref. 8055). Can also be found on pier piles (Ref. 81176).
