Family:  Solenoceridae (solenocerid shrimps)
Max. size:  7.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 4 - 205 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific and Atlantic Ocean: from Eastern Africa to Japan and Wallis and Futuna Islands.
Diagnosis:  Total length: 2.6-5.0 cm (male); 2.6-5.4 cm (female). Maximum carapace length: 1.6 cm (Ref. 8). In Ref. 409, maximum BL is 6.0 cm.
Biology:  Bottom mud, sand or coral (Ref. 8).
