Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific. Introduced in the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on Zostera beds (Ref. 75835) and among stones and sand in intertidal areas (Ref. 130068). Readily grazes on commonly available seagrasses and epiphytes (Ref. 101556).
