Coastal shorebird. Feeds on mudflats with foraging rate influenced by tide levels. Migration route across the North Australian Basin to Indonesia; some continuing across the Bay of Bengal northward to breeding grounds (Ref. 87784). Outside of the breeding season, species is often found on intertidal mudflats, salt marshes, sandflats, beaches, bays and estuaries (Ref. 107886). |
