Max. size:  17 cm SHD (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 125 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Common shell diameter is 10 to 15 cm (Ref. 101421). It is a swimmer (Ref. 96498), suspension feeder (Refs. 3477, 96498).
