Environment:  benthic; brackish; marine; depth range 5 - 20 m
Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic and the Mediterranean: from Ireland to Baltic Sea, south to Canary Islands, and east to Israel.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Species' maximum length from the Belgian part of the North Sea (Ref. 7882). Found along the near-coastal and coastal zones in fine to coarse-grained sediment with a maximum mud content of 40% (Ref. 7882). Also found in sediments (Ref. 96565).
