Distribution:  Indo-Pacific.
Diagnosis:  Globular, with uniformly hispid surface. Firm and slightly compressible. Bright yellow endosome and greenish to brown ectosome. Radial arrangement is formed by bundles of oxea radiating from a central focus.
Biology:  Minimum depth assumed from its ecology. Largely restricted to inshore reefs, often found in areas with high rates of sedimentation (Ref. 83443). Filter-feeder (Ref. 68823).
