Distribution:  Mediterranean Sea: from Spain to Turkey.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is found in mud and between rocks at depths of 4 to 34 m. They are often associated with biogenic structures such as burrows of Squilla sp. and clumps formed by Porifera and Ascidia (Microcosmus sp.) (Ref. 85342).
