Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 14 - 46 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean, Arctic, Northern Atlantic, and the Mediterranean Sea. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Species' maximum length from the Belgian part of the North Sea (Ref. 7882). Found along the coastal zone, often in moderately coarse sediment with low mud content (Ref. 7882). Also found on muddy fine sand (Ref. 118257). Suspension feeder (Ref. 118257). Surface deposit feeder (Ref. 66387).
