Family:  Octopodidae (octopuses), subfamily: Octopodinae
Max. size:  6.5 cm ML (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Cocos Island, Costa Rica and Mexico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This is a benthic species found on rocky and sandy bottoms, particularly in intertidal and subtidal areas (Ref. 83938).
