Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: East Africa to Philippines, Australia and Ducie Island.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  One of the most rarely collected Raninidae species (Ref. 87865). Found in deep waters at depths of 100 m or more (Ref. 77016).
