Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean, Northeast Pacific and Northeast Atlantic: Iraq, Oman and Puget Sound. Tropical and temperate.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Heterotrophic. Common in temperate to tropical neritic waters. Feeds mainly on immobile prey, specifically diatoms. Interception feeder (Ref. 115337).
