Family:  Nassariidae (Nassa mud snails)
Max. size:  4 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 200 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: from East Africa to Hawaii; north to Japan and south to central Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occasionally used as food. Shell utilized in shellcraft (Ref. 349). Shelf zones. Often occurring in rather large populations (Ref. 349). May practice deposit feeding (Ref. 100859).
