Distribution:	Western Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico to Caribbean Sea.
Diagnosis:	Formation: flat to hemispherical; phaceloid to flabello-meandroid with short valleys up to 5 centers. Septa: with tall sharp teeth. Well developed columellae. Thick and fleshy retracted polyps. Color: usually gray, purple, or green (Ref. 848).
Biology:	Maximum depth from Ref. 116012. Zooxanthellate (Ref. 116012). Occurs in most reef environments (Ref. 848). Also in submarine caves (Ref. 87209).
