Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal on sandy and especially muddy beaches (Ref. 801), and mudflats (Ref. 128960), in eulitorral to low tide zone. Lives in burrows; emerges at low tide to deposit feed on surface (Ref. 801). Members of the family Ocypodidae are typical deposit feeders (Refs. 108430, 128960).
