Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic, the Mediterranean and Western Indian Ocean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found from intertidal to a depth of 20 m; inhabits kelp bed communities. Feeds on encrusting Bryozoa of the genus Membranipora (Ref. 866).
