Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range - 40 m
Distribution:  Southern Oceans: Southern and Central coast of Chile, Tierra del Fuego, Falkland, Kerguelen, Heard and Auckland islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in patches on rocks in sub-littoral zones to a depth of 40 m. Its fronds may be exposed during low tide (Ref. 26875).
