Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Dwells in medium to fine sandy substrates at sandy beaches and subtidal zones. Forms a harpacticoid copepod community in the southern North Sea as a Leptastacus laticaudatus-Paramesochra helgolandica association in the open sea, and a Leptastacus laticaudatus-Halectinosoma herdmani association in the transition zone (Ref. 128681).
