Environment:  benthic; brackish
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Jamaica, Belize and Brazil.
Biology:  Found brackish environments in shallow intertidal sand areas between stones and in sandbars (Ref. 87257). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
