Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: New Caledonia and Vanuatu.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in cavities in flat platforms in supralittoral zone. Also on coral islets in a lagoon, coiled up under rocks or a pile of decaying vegetation, in wave-eroded cavities and crevices. Feeds exclusively on eels, mostly on families Muraenidae and Congridae (Ref. 75804).
