Family:  Laternulidae (lantern clams)
Max. size:  9 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from India to eastern Indonesia; north to southern Japan and south to northwest Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal to subtidal, in course sand (Ref. 75840). Part of infaunal communities in sandy rocky areas (Ref. 125338). Also found in mangrove areas (Ref. 129120).
