Calyx pyramidal, octangular, much broader than high, up to 3 cm wide; peduncle considerably longer than height of calyx; notches between arms of equal width; 60 to 70 tentacles on each arm; marginal anchors very large, obliquely trumpet-shaped, each with a rudimentary tentacle; gonads projecting about half-way into the arms, with follicles in 4 radiating rows. |
