Max. size:  13.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 91 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: USA, Gulf of Mexico and entire Caribbean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Produces large mounds and tunnels down to a meter into coarse sand and silty fine sand on lower intertidal and subtidal seagrass beds (Refs. 86837, 87257). Infaunal (Ref. 97531). It is a deposit feeder (Ref. 86848).
