Distribution:  Western Atlantic: From South Carolina, USA, the Gulf of Mexico, Antilles and Caribbean Sea to Santa Catarina, Brazil. Tropical to subtropical.

Biology:  Found in loose rubble or coral fragments; associated with aquatic vegetation (Ref. 109488). Predator (Ref. 66921). Omnivorous (Ref. 111570).
