Family:  Muricidae (purpuras, murex and rock shells)
Max. size:  3.7 cm SHH (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 3 - 200 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Southeast and Northeast Asia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Reported from Hong Kong to be found on the ceilings and walls of submarine caves (Ref. 126058).

Threat to humans:  harmless
