Environment:  benthic; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: southwards reaching northern Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal, estuarine (Ref. 106854). Inhabits mangroves, usually under rocks or timber (Ref. 343), and buried in mud (Ref. 132300). Collected as food by local populations. Subtropical and tropical climates (Ref. 343).
