Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found burrowing in exposed sandy beaches. Frequently washed up by waves. As the water recedes, it burrows rapidly beneath the surface to escape predators (Ref. 125338). A tidal migrant. Found on fine, well-sorted sands (Ref. 125508).
